JACK HUDSON

grime / drill / future bass / garage / contemporary r&b / Acoustic

A passion of UK nightlife introduced Jak to making music in a style that would be appreciated by club-goers, eventually scoring him some radio and DJ plays while studying.

Moving forward, Jak would assist in studios, originally with rappers like Skatta who were pushing the midland grime scene forward before it hit mainstream critical acclaim. Then moving to London he assisted on sessions with the likes of Take That & UB40 as well as more current bands such as Jungle & Amber Run

This opportunity lead to an engineer position with producer Mark Ralph where Jak would be end up recording guitar for hits such as 'Solo' by Clean Bandit x Demi Lovato's (acoustic version) and vocals for Dan Caplen x Miss Banks' track Trouble. While at Club Ralph Jak worked with, assisted on Friendly Fires' album 'Inflorescent' and Jax Jones while working on 'Snacks'.

Following this experience, Jak began to work at Sony/ATV Publishing where he would front his own sessions as the only engineer there. He worked closely with The KTNA having recorded on most tracks in the 'LUS' EP. He also returned to his urban roots recording Grime artists such as Kojo Funds & Bugzy Malone. Otherwise he has recorded with Zak Abel, Becky Hill, Dynoro and Junior Williams among many others.

Jak produces both library and commercial music alongside his career at Sony as Studio Engineer.
